Indian equities were trading flat on Thursday, in view of the July F&O expiry. PSU led the gainers while capital goods and IT stocks lagged. Sensex was at 17,946.34, lower by 11.03 points or 0.06 per cent. The Bombay Stock Exchange sensitive index opened at 17,961.58 against the previous close of 17,957.37. The 50-share index saw a high of 5401.60 against a low of 5381.60. “Today, we expect the Indian markets to open marginally in the red and later make an attempt to rise. However, could witness further selling pressure during the end of the day due to F&O expiry. Oil & Gas, Realty and Capital Goods stocks look weak while Metals and Auto stocks could outperform today,” said HDFC Securities in its morning note.
